Customer Service & Content VA

Position: Customer Services & Content VA

Location: Remote

Hourly Rate: TBD

Position type: Independent contractor

Hours: Part time (approx 25 hours per month)

We’re an education company on a mission to help other women build their dream online businesses via online courses and coaching programs.

We’re a dynamic team who work across the Europe & the USA and we’re looking to add to our dream team with a Customer Service & Content VA to join the family.

✓ You’re one of those ‘Inbox on 0’ people. Emails never go unanswered, and you unsubscribe from spam and clutter the moment it hits your inbox.

✓ Need to hunt down some random receipt months later? No stress. Thanks to your Inbox OCD and strategic use of labels, you know exactly where to find it.

✓ You have strong attention to detail and design. You can spot a typo from a mile away. And crooked graphics or broken links? Not on your watch.

✓ You think about everything from the POV of others - making sure the user experience for your processes & content is flawless & the role of your teamies is thoughtfully considered too!

✓ You’re down to tag team where needed, but you secretly love being able to fully own a project from start > finish.

✓ You love a good content editing session, and you happen to have some pretty amazing skills when it comes to making content look and feel high-end.

✓ You're a strong communicator (both verbal and written). And the idea of showing your face on a facebook live or group Zoom call gives you a thrill, not the scaries!

✓ You NEVER miss a deadline and never has a boss, teacher, parent, etc. complained about how you ‘don’t show up when you’re supposed to’ or ‘are always dropping the ball.’ You’re relentlessly reliable, never needing to be reminded of a task, can be counted on come hell or high water and will go the extra mile to help the team when necessary.

✓ You're an independent worker and have the ability to effectively take direction and run with ideas, keeping the final outcome in mind. You love figuring things out yourself & are considerate about the inboxes of others!

✓ You are coachable and open to feedback - you understand it’s how we grow!

What you’ll do…

CUSTOMER SERVICE

  • Take over the lead role in managing our PB inbox and DM’s, carrying the torch of delightful & genuinely helpful customer service the PB team is known for!

  • Eagerly assist students having trouble accessing their course materials or making payments, and managing the follow up/next steps needed when a student fails to make their scheduled payment.

  • Checking in on our Student Facebook Communities making sure they are a safe space for everyone (and that Negative Nancies are shown the door).

CONTENT ASSISTANCE

  • Paige will be the one researching, writing, and recording our weekly YouTube content, but after that, it’s onto our team’s video editor and you! You’ll give video edit feedback to our editor, then upload & schedule YouTube videos using up-to-date industry best practices (we have a fab course and all the orientation materials you’ll ever need to totally nail this task!)

  • You’ll use the video transcript to create some amazing blog-length shownotes to keep us killing it on the content SEO front.

  • Decide & prepare content for our weekly newsletter pointing subscribers to our latest content.

LAUNCH ASSISTANCE

It’s all hands on deck when we launch & you’ll be called on to put your slick skills to work to ensure each launch is better than the last! This might include …

  • Setting up facebook groups & scheduling posts to create a close & joyful launch community!

  • Supporting in the chat, facebook group and inbox during lives & launches, being delightfully helpful & giving accurate & useful support to our community

Our ideal candidate is someone who…

Has past experience in some sort of administrative assistant or virtual assistant related role.
(Beneficial, but not a deal breaker)

Is happy to show up, even at strange hours.
One of the benefits of a remote job is the amazing flexibility, you can truly work from anywhere! (With a good internet connection, of course.) But it also means that with team members and customers across many time zones, meetings or time-sensitive live launch tasks may happen for you very early in the morning or late into the evening, depending on where you’re located.

Is flexible to work weekends as needed.
We guard our weekends pretty fiercely around here, and we highly encourage you to unplug on those off days! But there are a few times each year during our live launch weeks where it’s all hands on deck, even on the weekends. (Thankfully tend we plan our entire launch calendar for the year in one sitting, so you’ll usually have those dates MONTHS in advance!)

Is open to a role that grows (in hours & responsibilities) over time.
We’d love to bring someone onto the team who’d be down for Full Time hours at some point in the future.

Sees their role not as a job, but a passion.
We are looking for someone who is constantly following other online business and keeping up with the industry, to see how they can be improving on their skillset and knowledge base, and bringing their highest value to the team and business.

Is looking for long-term commitment.
We are looking for someone who would look forward to staying in the position and giving it enthusiastic attention for 2+ years. If you have an interest in switching jobs in the next few months or are just looking for a job to fill space between some other commitments, please don’t apply.

What you can expect…

MORE AUTONOMY & FREEDOM THAN YOU’VE EVER BEEN GIVEN BEFORE:

  • We get it, people hate being micromanaged, but here’s the twist, our management actually hates micromanaging people too! We have no desire to check over your shoulder to watch all your work and review tasks every 5 minutes. #inefficient. You’ll have a lot of freedom and independence to produce the expected results in your own way in this role.

OUR OFFICE IS VIRTUAL:

  • Work from home, Starbucks, Stateside or while wandering around the world, it makes no difference to us. As long as you do the job well and on time, every time, we want you to work in the place that brings you the most joy. No more commuting, no more spending your pay cheque on outfits to then go earn more pay cheques, and no more having to ask permission to be able to leave the office for a dentist appointment or to renew your drivers license.

  • While this role is 100% remote, it does require you to have solid Wifi at pretty much all times. So if you live in the middle of genuinely nowhere or your idea of a rad vacation is to go on trips to national parks with no internet service for weeks at a time, this role won’t be a good fit for you.

  • In case you haven’t noticed, we’re not big on politics or acting in traditional corporate ways. We have a lovely environment where instead of taking credit for other people’s ideas and backstabbing our way to the top we’re all working towards improving the company and growing ourselves and our roles that way.

FLEXIBLE HOURS:

  • More of a night owl? Want to go for a 12 noon yoga class? Have kids you need to drop off at school at 8:30 AM sharp? No problem! Do the work whenever in your day that works for you, as long as you meet deadlines.

  • Interested in a full-time position in the future? That’s perfect! We anticipate this role to grow to full-time as the team evolves.
