My journey began when I moved to Europe for love with a dream for a life of freedom and creativity. Not speaking the local language, my career options were limited, but with a deep love for Squarespace and a desire for flexibility, I built my own web design business from scratch. Though it felt like a far-off dream at the start, I fully booked myself with clients.

Yes, this course is still right for you! 97% of the course content will still apply to you if you use another site building software. Only a very small fraction of the course is specific to Squarespace.
I’ve had a number of past students go through the course, gain the exact blueprint to building a website design business and go on to design on other platforms like Wordpress, Showit & Shopify.
The principles of building a web design business are the same regardless of the website platform you choose - including getting clients, keeping them on schedule, collecting payments, sending welcome packets, etc. So even if you’re not a Squarespace die-hard, you’re still more than welcome to join!
Pro Tip: If you want to build on another website platform, DON’T buy the bundle which includes Square Secrets™ as that course is purely Squarespace-focused.

Truthfully, this part is up to you. You can choose to binge the whole course in a weekend (you won’t be the first) or (more commonly) progress through each lesson in about 4 weeks. If you intend to watch it over 4 weeks, at that pace I’d suggest setting aside 3-5 hours per week to watch the course videos and complete any associated assignments.
Call up the babysitter, turn on your favorite playlist, pour a fresh cup... do what you need to do to get started! The long-term payoff is beyond worth it!

First, you’ll want a solid internet connection. (If your connection at home runs at snail speed, take this as an opportunity to go swing by Starbucks and indulge in one of their desserts-in-a-cup.)
You’ll also want a laptop or desktop computer when building both your site and sites for others. (Trying to build sites while on a tablet or phone won’t work so well.)

In the course, I’ll show you tutorials with the exact programs and resources (CRM, file storage, project management system, legal templates, etc.) that I use in my web design business and recommend. Some of these are paid, some are free.
You can by all means go through and learn the course content without purchasing anything additional, though you might find that when it comes time to set up your business, a few of these additional systems really are worth the investment.

This is a group course, not a 1-on-1 program. However, you’ll be supported throughout! During the live monthly Q&A coaching calls, I invite you to ask myself and our SSB call co-host Katelyn, any and all of your questions directly!
(If you can’t make the call live, you can send in your questions in advance, and we’ll answer them on the Q&A video for you to watch later.)
Between Katelyn & I you’ll get expert knowledge on what to do in those tricky client situations and with the challenging questions. And in between the monthly calls the entire student community is there to lend a hand inside the Facebook group. With a community full of experienced designers, students get exceptional advice 365 days a year!
